1963 World Series Game 1 Ticket Stub Signed By Sandy Koufax (15 K’S) PSA

KOUFAX15K1000FWM-581After completing a Cy Young Award winning season with 25 wins, a 1.88 ERA, and a league-leading 11 shutouts, Sandy Koufax was selected to start Game 1 of the 1963 World Series in Yankee Stadium and mowed down the Bronx Bombers, tossing a complete game and striking out 15 in a 5-2 victory. Offered is the ticket stub from that game, signed by Koufax across the front in bold ball-point pen.  This item comes encased in a PSA holder for protection and unquestioned authenticity.

1963 Los Angeles Dodgers World Champions Team Signed Baseball PSA/DNA

63ss1000WM-624Emphatically demonstrating the "Age of the Pitcher" were the Dodgers of 1963.  We might say that the franchise was best prepared for the 1960s as both leagues deadened the ball a bit and elevated the mound a few silly millimeters.  The net results of all this were lower batting averages and reduced home run production. The first beneficiaries were Drysdale and Koufax. And as things shook out, Perranoski chose 1963 to ply a career performance. With such incredible fire power, it's little wonder that Los Angeles claimed the National League's pennant and then went on to sweep New York in October (a bitter trouncing that the Yankees hadn't suffered since 1922).   It was in a similar spirit of excellence that 30 of those Dodger champions penned this ONL (Giles) ball in 1963.  The ball is virtually perfect with pronounced stampings and an ideally white surface, and the blue ink signatures are all clear and legible.  The sweet spot has been signed by twin Hall of Fame managers Alston and Durocher.  Joining them are Reiser, Becker, Breeding, Tracewski, Koufax, Rowe, Calmus, Wills, Sherry, Gleason, Perranoski, Skowron, T. Davis, Howard, Drysdale, Richert , Griffith, Roseboro, Walls, Camilli, Moon, Gilliam, Fairly, Ferrara, McMullen, Mulleavy, Podres, and Miller.  That this team signed ball dates to the '63 season is fully confirmed in the appearances of one-year Dodgers Marv Breeding, Ken Rowe, Roy Gleason and Dick Calmus.  The sphere still resides in its original Spalding box, accounting for the stunning like-new condition.  This item comes with a Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.

1965 Los Angeles Dodgers World Champions Team Signed Baseball PSA/DNA

65ss1000WM-631With the New York Yankees having endured their first losing campaign in 40 years, the National League champion Los Angeles Dodgers focused elsewhere as October of '65 approached. While the Bronx Bombers had been the Dodgers' opponent in eight of the latter's nine World Series appearances (dating back to 1941), the '65 Junior Circuit titlists hailed from Minnesota, where remnants of the original Washington Senators franchise advanced to the World Series. Holding the Twins to a paltry .195 team average, the Dodgers prevailed in a seven-game Fall Classic.  Astonishing in its flawless preservation, the presented ONL (Giles) ball continues its residence within a small cardboard cube bearing a mailing label from Philadelphia's Connie Mack Stadium and a June 11, 1965 postmark. Evidently dating to a visit to the Phillies ballpark, the ball provides twenty-eight beautiful blue ink signatures from the World Champs, notably Koufax, Alston, Drysdale, Wills, Fairly, Moon, Gilliam, Parker, Lefebvre and more. A simply remarkable specimen from Koufax' finest hour.  This item comes with a Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
